Fan Dance
Hi, did the Fan Dance on Sat, 15 miles race up to Pen y Fan and down 3 times with 30lb backpack and training gun, in time of 5h 38m. Fantastic day and great to see the Army up there training as well. Resting up today after the more painful experience of dentist bill.

Not to good
Weekend not as good as would have liked, did some weights on Sat, but unable to train on Sun due to back playing up again. Got to get this sorted. Will rest for next two days and take it from there. Hope to be back out on Weds.

Getting There
Had a couple of hard days, done some weights and had a couple of 1 hour runs. Legs feeling heavy but needed it. Made a change not to have a race this weekend but going for a long run Sunday. The next two weeks will be a final build up before my race Ireland. Looking forward to doing what is rated as a good Ultra race.

Weds 25th Feb
Felt better for my jog yesterday, got the bike out today and rode to see The Lady, took the dog out for a nice 5 mile walk down the River Thames. Its good to be back on the road again. Going to build up a bit more mileage this week. Not sure if I will do a race on Sunday or just have a good long run. Starting to look at my plans for the rest of the year and thinking about getting a personal trainer. Main races booked so far are the Connermara ultra 40 miles a 100 mile race walk in 24 hours and the Toronto Marathon.

WELCOME
Hi and welcome to my blog. Have been resting since doing the Thames Trot a 50 mile race from Oxford to Henley. Had intended to take it easy as it was half term, but a back injury confirmed no running for a while. Going out later for a nice slow jog to get back into it as the Conermara 40 mile ultra is next up in a few weeks time. Have packed my gym membership in as I never seemed to go there, more fun running in the wild and have got a gym at work anyway.
